vote for me and all your wildest dreams will come true
well when we went to six flags i got a great quote from my brother...taken from my brother and my cousin
after riding the flume
my cousin- how did you like the ride
my brother- my heart hurt
my cousin- that's called excitement
my brother- i dont like it
have to hate six flags for that...well sneaking off with harris was pretty great..we toured the town and got to go to all those places that they never took us..
Onto music ideas, I have been listening to the rocket summer. It's been pretty good, but the guy has kind of a higher voice than normal (some people *cough harris cough* thought he was a girl..though he really isnt any worse than david bedingfield). Also the new thousand foot krutch cd "the art of breaking" is pretty good. I missed copeland while i was in the US...lol while i was trying to see mae and ended up missing both. Hopefully get to see sonicflood and planetshakers this friday. That's how it goes.
Well been reading a book called bias by a cbs reporter (feel like such a nerd since rachel had to read it for school and im reading it for fun). But its really interesting been talking about how liberal the news is. If this book was written by rush limbaugh it would be less effective i think (nevertheless be interesting cuz i like him), but because the author is a liberal it makes the whole issue more "believable".
Randomly speaking of ice cream, this summer got to try phish food, dublin mudslide, cherry garcia, and a halfbaked..all of ben and jerrys fame. Well and food rocks
and rented napoleon dynamite again...got to love it

alright..finally blogging again..and i have a good excuse..ive been at a people to people camp and then up at my grandparents summer house in upstate new york (where they dont have an internet connection)...hmm well it would be pretty hard to sum everything that went on in just people to people...its kind of like trying to fully explain the china trip...well people to people was about 10 days..met a lot of people (shout out to rachel and harris...and everyone bulgaria (and angola))...so pretty much there were a ton of lectures of which the speakers included quincey oliver (some motivational speaker guy who was pretty interesting), some people from the UN, a secret service agent, some guys from the US state dept (they deal with international affairs..fitting since we were an international diplomacy summit) and other people...quite a few cuz i think we had like 15-20 speakers...and among other things we met Rudy Giuliani, went to the statue of liberty and the UN, went to broadway to see Mamma Mia, and breaking rules like going off campus with harris lol..and listening to mr hightower (a nice scottish short guy that works for some american intelligence agency)..pretty eclectic i must say...and met a ton of people..and since there is so much more to say i wont really say very much else about the camp..
so on music news i got mat kearney's cd "bullet" and something like silas's "divine invitation"...theyre both hot cds..im looking out john reuben's "the boy vs the cynic"..prally stop by best buy to pick it up...im really looking forward to the new switchfoot cd "nothing is sound" coming out in september...hopefully can get it for my bday or something...and mute math's cd out in october..
shout out to harris...the mae fan converted by the banner on this here site...prally the only fan convert but nevertheless pretty solid...planning on going to farmingdale this thursday to the downtown to check out mae...theyll be with lovedrug (never heard them before)...but looking forward to that..
and now im back..just drove the 5 hour trip from my grandparents summer house in upstate new york to long island where i am now located...was nice up there..lots of great sunsets and yeah on one of the days it rained like a mist..it wasnt even a drizzle but a constant mist that surrounded everything..and yeah that with sitting around watching shows like american chopper and eating a lot and relaxing..was a good time...
tomorrow off to my great aunts house out farther east on long island...should be good...she always cooks a lot when we're there and prally go to the beach...
and yeah ive never really written in paragraphes but it takes up space...oh random comment napoleon dynamite is pretty spiffy too...
to quote mr goode- "What are you gonna do today, Napoleon?/Whatever I feel like I wanna do. Gosh! "

hmm yeah so very interesting but ive actually denied my roots and went apple...after years and arguments debating how creative was better than apple its rather ironic that i would get a apple product...but i guess when you have a choice between that or nothing..apples better than nothing (not necessarily better than creative but i must admit that apples stuff is pretty hot looking)...yep and in other big 3week old news there is not a wifi connection in my bedroom..like mcdonalds the managment of the house decided that a internet connection in tim's room would be good (more like a week of whining "mom why cant i have it" lol jk)...but on the serious side my dad found some nice upgrade thing that means that now we can have wireless internet on a laptop which i like to keep in my room...so now im the states..its interesting..i take great pride in my nation but its rather embarrassing sometimes...and to say its not perfect is rather a understatement..but yet i find myself infatuated(at least i really like) just the americana sense like 'out in the country' culture of america...deluded but i like it that way...which i guess explains why i like living in singapore more than i think id like in america...just yeah the atmosphere here feels different and its like you cant be as weird as you can around singaporeans who just dismiss you as crazy americans...here in america its as though you have to be careful of not falling into the category of weird non-american...hmm questions like "you dont have tanning salons there?" and "do they know what movies are there?" (thinking about it i dont think ive seena tanning booth in singapore...prally for good reason)...anw i went to my first ever chick-fil-a yesterday...was pretty good..i would say it lived up to the hype created by certain southerners in my social circle...next on my list which will prally take a while to try but id still like to try is in n out burger (not sure if i spelled that right..) but ive heard reports...anw its time for dinner..ill try to post more after the minor sabbatical which is in fact short for a sabbatical but yeah whatever..have a great day
p.s. have to give props to alana just for posting in her blog when so many have fallen (prally not but at least ive fallen)
www.purevolume.com/thousandfootkrutch hot new song called "absolute"
and loving mat kearney...check him out at purevolume

so as bad as i am at updating..yeah whatever...could repeat the schpiel and stuff but i wont...yeah so lately been busy if people couldnt guess...last weekend went to malaysia and that was fun....more long road trips and random pictures...got to share with a youth group which was good...props to alana for lifting her hands on time for be strong...yep so then came back to singapore on monday and was welcomed by a really "fun" day..hmm was very tired that day...but thats how it goes...been also having some SAT prep course and been having to do a lot of practice tests for those...take the SAT in a about 2 weeks...and so must work...not fun..oh well...yep and so while people are leaving school there are many going away and missing out on school...hannah-have fun in america..seniors-have fun in thailand doing whatever...chelsea-have fun going wherever youre going...yep and so i dont realyl have much to say other than ive been listening to music...big surprise..and so new bands that ive found to like (that doesnt make much sense)
waking ashland
house of heroes
the chemistry
earth wind and fire (lol got to love "september"...missing anwar)
yep so thats how it goes..and plugs to everyone for actually coming to look at my blog even though nothing was here...go figure..("you need to post"- is too common a phrase i be hearing ..)
(been saying sentences in forms of "I be_____" rather strange)
"say do you remember, dancing in september"

Well.
I'm back from the Mandarin trip. Score. After one month of non-blogging, I've decided to finally blog. Back to the trip. It was very very fun. Long bus rides and balconies and good food. I am currently singing a song by U2 "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" and here I be sitting on the fatboy watching people cut fish stomachs to retrieve a worm. Ah, tangents.
Back to the Mandarin trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
And now we are currently attempting to finish our Mandarin project, which I think, would be very unlikely considering the pace we are going at. Ah, the lazy Saturdays.
Hmm, and now Alana does not feel that useless anymore...she has a job! Fabulous.
[ahem] Right. So how's the fish?
I just finished researching and drinking a cup of Milo. I think Waking Ashland is great! Go Waking Ashland!
And it's sad how 9 of the 10 F1 teams (outside Ferrari) are planning to start their own league after 2007. 'Tis very sad.
We're listening to The Old Kings now. Haha.
Well, I better finish up my Milo. And start doing some interpretative dancing. Score.
Arrivederci.
I LOVE INTERPRETATIVE DANCING!

wearing vans so kids will think im cool...
well its been a while...kind of a scary while...but to conclude the saga of the research paper its over...at least the rough draft...was nice to get over with...since then much has happened...including a mime for china trip...that was interesting...and a lot of work...and yeah wasnt bad...but glad when dr beeson approved of it..so its all good and since most people dont care about the past week (or two or three) i will talk about the present...today didnt have much homework...was very nice so did extra work and played basketball...was realyl hot today...practically died..good thing stephen and ansell werent running likemr bridgeman and travis or else id looked really bad out of shape...and thats never good...so yep an interesting habit of teachers...to tease about tests is never fun but somehow they get a weird joy in playing with our minds "AHH theres a test" but then again thats just my class..go figure...and yeah so tomorrow have to practice for the mime for mandarin trip and yeah thats only in like 9 days (so pray for us)...practically here...rather exciting...and yeah all that jazz...props to alana, lauren, hannah, and christina for listening to the music i give them...very nice of them...and so theres really nothing interesting to talk about other than ive been converted to like punk with occasional trumpets which could be called ska by some but it really isnt....five iron frenzy is pretty good...and another thing for any who were wondering "never take friendship personal" the song was inspired by a book written by john eldridge called "wild at heart"...hmm one of those great book titles....
plug to dhany- i have nothing against leather...just a random picture...however i dont like tight jeans though

ground coffee is a legacy thats like poetry
well research is up...(reminds me of coolhandluke in a strange way)anws.. spent the day at the computer doing research for my paper...and yeah started at 11..stopped at 5..with in between "breaks"..hmm yes...so im thinking that this'll be the last one for this year..fun stuff..and right not much to say after my exciting day...other than gwendolyn brought up a good point about cd reviewers..you get paid for listening t music..and get a free cd and all that jazz...the only downside is that youd have to listen to prally a lot of stupid music...could be potentially annoying..yep speaking of jazz..there is a lot of stuff on langston hughes (and a lot of it doesnt make sense...yeah sorry been a pretty boring post..umm oh another random topic...the pink panther...the originals were excellent..and its inevitable that the new ones wont be as good...no offence to steve martin but yeah no ones going to be doing the inspector justice...but oh well..everyone have a good night
